Three examples follow. The first two work but the third does not. The third should return the results of the query of the SphinxSE table *as well as* whatever the filter after the OR finds. Instead, the SphinxSE query gets ignored and only the filter after the OR is used.

It could be that fields are stored in a non-reversible encoding, and so can't be translated back to normal values? That's a stab in the dark, though.
