WebNov 10, 2011 · haven't listend to the Kefs q900, but they are probably more comparable to BW 683 than the CM series tbh. A fairer comparison to the CM9 is the Kef XQ 40 I think the CM9 are actually an absolute bargain, since I was really considering Monitor Audio GS60 and Kef XQ 40s. in the end i bought the CM9 as they were my fav after many auditions. WebKef makes great speakers, let there be no doubt about that. But they are a commercial company like any other speaker company, meaning they spend more on what you can see, than what's under the hood. If you're not afraid to get your hands dirty and spend a few bucks and 30 minutes, you can make your Kefs sound better than your friends Kefs :)
