Frank honeycombing
WebJan 1, 2013 · In a study of 16 patients with UIP, 15 had interstitial opacities on the chest radiograph; 10 patients had reticular opacities, 2 had reticulonodular opacities, 3 had frank honeycombing, and 1 patient had mixed alveolar and interstitial opacities. Lung volumes were decreased in the majority of patients (12/16 = 75 %).
