Crowd counting consortium
Webcrowd sourced approach adopted by the Crowd Counting Consortium is premised on the idea that turnout matters, whether it is large or small. This is different than historic approaches to turnout. To date, much of the conversation about protest size has focused on newspaper data. A number of problems have dogged this usage, however. WebCrowd Counting Consortium Dataset. This repository stores a compiled and augmented version of the Crowd Counting Consortium's data on political crowds in the United States, including marches, protests, rallies, demonstrations, strikes, and similar actions. The data are stored in csv format (), and the data dictionary describes the columns in that file.
